The dangers of cigarette smoke in carpet

A report published by the Daily Mail (2009) discusses the danger that third-hand smoke could cause to children.

According to a number of experts, third-hand smoke is just as dangerous as second hand smoke because the fumes billow in a cloud like form, putting babies and children at risk.

The report warned that the dangers of third-hand smoke are very real as the toxic particles in cigarette smoke linger on surfaces long after the cigarette has been put out. Even suggesting that a carpet could be as potentially dangerous as an ashtray.
