Rug Doctor in new Brad Pitt movie!

When Paramount Pictures wanted to fill an American supermarket set being filmed in the UK with iconic American brands for the latest Brad Pitt blockbuster - naturally they contacted Rug Doctor!

After siting Pepsi drinks, Mars bars and M&M sweets, the production company asked if they could have a complete Rug Doctor display for a weeks filming in Glasgow to bring a bit of extra American realism to the scene.

Although hiring a Rug Doctor only costs £20.00 for 24hours, according to press reports, Brad & Angeline Jolie spent £15,000 hiring an entire Virgin train for themselves and their six children for the five hour journey from London to Glasgow!

Marc Foster, who directed the James Bond classic 'Quantum of Solace', is directing the movie, while Mireille Enos, who played leading lady Sarah Linden in 'The Killing', will play Brad's wife.

A cast and crew of about 1,200 people are involved in shooting scenes in various city centre locations. Although shot in Glasgow, the film is actually set in Philadelphia, so false shop fronts had to be brought in - American trucks and cars, yellow cabs and white Philadelphia Police cars have also taken to the city's streets.

The location manager for the film, 'World War Z' said Glasgow had been chosen to double as the Pennsylvanian city because of its architecture, wide roads and grid layout.

The film is due for release in December 2012.

The Rug Doctor display - including machines and stock - was delivered to the set in good time thanks to the sterling efforts of our warehouse, logistics and field service personnel.
